Testimony Training

This course teaches participants to polish the public speaking and media presentation skills they need to speak before public officials and the media. Participants will learn to craft and deliver better speeches. Additionally, they will also learn how to make advance speech preparations. Finally, participants will learn how to greatly enhance their performance abilities with public officials, the media, and the public.

Topics include:

  • Preparing formal remarks, including writing and rehearsing speeches
  • Advance tactical preparations to make speaking easier
  • Dealing with stage fright
  • Improving voice and body language
  • Dressing with finesse for more powerful presentations to both live and television audiences
  • Preparing for a media interview, including a television appearance
  • Avoiding media interview traps
  • An "on-camera" television appearance and critique

Seminar Tips:

When questioned by a public official or reporter, always do the following:

  • Tell the truth - always
  • Make your most important point first
  • Deliver direct answers
  • Answer only one question at a time
  • Use personal pronouns often
