Universal Guardian was given a great 20 x 20 position on the show floor at GOVSEC 2007 in Washington DC.  The challenge was to design a cost effective display, with little lead time, that would make the best use of this space.

Starting from the skeleton, we decided that a rental truss exhibit would be necessary.  Combining this truss with dye sublimated graphics and a sheer fabric conference room  provided them the visibility desired as well as a little privacy to meet with clients.

Reviewing the rules for the show, we noticed that we were allowed a height of up to 20 feet, including a hanging sign.  The show book stipulated that there must be at least 2 feet of clearance between the hanging sign and the top of the structure.

To make this work, we would need to reduce the size of the sign or shorten the display.  Either way two feet of important space could not be used.  To make the best use of the 20’, Moose Displays and Logistics chose to make the hanging sign a part of the main structure through the use of additional exhibition truss hardware.

This solution solved several challenges.  First, we were not required to have a two foot space between the exhibition truss and the hanging sign and secondly, there were no additional rigging costs beyond two forklifts for 30 minutes.
